Whenever i take a shower i come out with red hives over most of my body... especially around my cheeks and chin where i have mild acne (hey im a teenager) and my chest... i also get extremely itchy.. this has been going on for a while. Also my head gets itchy to.. from the water and the hives.. and no its not because i dont take care of my hair this happened when i was almost skin bald to gotta be getting hives there to. The hives usually go way in 15-20 mins tops. But it sucks.. and when i wake up and wet my face sometimes it may blow up a bit.

are you allergic to the soap you are using maybe?

what kind of soap do you use anyway?

I got hives from drinking water from a fountain before. It was because the pipes were rusty, making the water nasty, making me break out from it.

nah i figured it could be soap too, but to experiment i showered without soup or shampoo, same result. I noticed though only hot water will do it.

We'll if its not soap or shampoo, it must be because your water is too hot? Are your showers REAL HOT??

Could be mineral/irritant deposits in your hot water pipes. Might want to have them checked.

Also, look up eczema. Hot water may trigger it, in some cases.

Also make sure you moisturize your skin. My favorite stuff to use is Body Butter from the Body Shop.

Your showers are probloly giving you mild burns. Try taking less hot showers for awhile. If that doesn't work, see a dermotologist.
