Name David ( aka Dmac )
- Age - 28
- Gender - Male
- Location - San Diego, CA
- Background (Well I am currently a parts manager at a plumbing company nothing exciting)
- Training experiene ( I have no exp yet I am looking to start building now, when I was 15 I worked out for sports and was cut nice but that has all went away since then.)
- Any Interests - My interests is working towards getting a nice lean body and taking it from there.

I surf these boards because I am 5'11 and 185 pounds but I have love handles, and what not. I am here to learn if I should cut first then put on pounds for bulk or whatever, hehe I am kinda lost trying to take all the information I can on the site to make my weight lifting experience a good one. I dont plan on stopping at all I just want to get started on the right foot so I am here now. Hi to all I hope to hear and read from you all.

Welcome! :)

Starting out I would make one change at a time. First change would be going to the gym on a regular basis. Once this becomes habit, see where you stand. If you still feel you need to get rid of the handles, look into an organized cut. If you feel the muscle you've added has balanced out the fat, you may want to bulk. The point is, get your feet wet first.

Currently I have a home gym that I use, I am doing the MAX - OT workout with a tad less sets then its asking to start. I have read that you dont have to do it exactly so I varied it a tad. I feel overall that my body is crap so I have set out to change that all. I dont do the cardio for OT though but I get up at 4:30 everyday workout, then jog 20 minutes, have a protein shake and go to work. The only thing I am really unsure about is calories so I will keep reading. THanks for the welcome and help -)

Anthony hit the nail on the head, try getting your training in order then let the rest follow, you'll soon realise that it's 30% training and 70% diet
Hope you stick with it.
