I know this question sounds ******ed...
For 2 months now I havn't been working out on a regular schedule, and I have completely thrown any type of diet out the window. I know how bad that sounds, but right now classes have taken top proirity in my life, I am always gone somewhere to study.
But 4 weeks ago I moved in with a friend and since then it has been HELL! I've been really stressed lately and now all of a sudden I have lost 12 pounds. I was just wondering what role stress might have played in it, because it sure as hell didn't happen from diet and exercise LOL

it can.....you figure being stressed is chemically similar to being on an ECA. although I wouldn't recommend stress as a weight-loss method, if you are always on the go, you could definitely drop someweight like that.

It probably has an indirect effect.
You're stressed, so you don't train. Probably don't eat as much or at least not on a consisten diet; so you lose weight...

Allie Mae stress can pretty much do anything to your body from stomach aches, to migraines, to weight loss. Thats why most people do all they can to avoid being stressed out, although they are sometimes unsuccessfull

I have lost 15-20 lbs in times of severe longstanding stress. My appetite and activity levels just die off. Other people go the other way and eat everything in sight.

I think stress is probably one of the most underated things for lack of results..
When I was arguing with my gf (as I am now:() I tend to lose weight, and have 0 motivation :(

OK Heres the deal I'm acyually happy for once :) Except that one of my classes isn't going too well, I will find out on Tuesday if I am going to drop it. Midterms are this week :( Umm I just started a new job. And then there is the roommate situation. And as for eating... well I will be completly honest. There are days I don't eat anything at all, and there are days that I could eat everything in site. For me it just depends on my schedule, where I am on campus, what I have to do, if I work, etc. Because eating isn't always convenient.

For me, stress has the opposite effect. I actually gain weight when I stress. That's why I haven't been able to really progress on my program. My lifting poundages are going up, but I'm sure that there are less persistent telemarketers than the blub that is clinging to my abdomen.

Yes, stress can cause some ppl to lose weight, while others often gain it. I guess it just depends on your personality...
