"Gonzo amounts of multiple steroids, taken as a stack, will produce many times the results of anything else that I know about. On the other hand, a stack of max amounts of Androsol and Tribex-500 should produce pretty much the same thing as 250-500 mg of Sustanon per week."

"HMB feels like Deca."
- Bill Phillips.
"Well, I'm going to step out on a big, albeit shaky, limb here and make an even bolder statement. This new 4-AD formula, when used exactly the way we've used it in our experiments, feels like Sustanon! And I'm not kidding around. Oh, I'm chuckling as I type the word "Sustanon" because of how smarmy something like that looks, but I'm also as serious as I can be. This formula of 4-AD really does feel like a serious steroid. I'm not saying that it's like taking thousands of milligrams of your favorite juice stack per week, but it does feel like 250-500 mg of Sustanon."

If you are familiar with T-mag, you'll understand the significance of the Phillips statement.
I have no doubt Biotest makes legitimate supplements, many of which work.
But I don't do business with companies that make claims like this.

Wassup with dis, Biotest?
Ironmag Issue #5 - January 13, 2000 © Iron Magazine Online
Supplement companies are an intriguing bunch. Case in point. Last week on Testosterone, Tim Patterson challenged one particular supplement company to explain certain aspects of its advertising practices (the faking of labels on competitor products). I guess Biotest had finished laying a whipping on Syntrax and decided it was time to take on a new contender. Tim asked his readers what he thought of his allegations. Over here in Ironmagland, we like to keep an eye on all of our "competition" (note: term is used very loosely), so this caused quite a stirring among the staff during our weekly meeting.
This week (Jan 13th) good ole Biotest has letters from readers as follow-ups. What surprised the hell out of the Ironmag staff this week is that one of the two (only 2?) "readers" are in fact none other than the New Zealand distributor of Biotest products, Glen Stollery (http://www.eas.co.nz/aboutus.htm), owner of First Nutrition (http://www.firstnutrition.com), the New Zealand distributor of EAS, Prolab and get this, BIOTEST products! Yes, in other words, Biotest published a letter from someone who has a major vested interest in the success of Biotest products - and the downfall of the competitor. Glen slammed the other supplement company, much like he did on an old website of his that no longer exists. Doesn't sound kosher does it? Here Biotest is accusing one company of faking labels in its ads, when in what can be called an ad of its own, is getting distributors of its products to write in whining about the hurt and distress their competitor has caused him. Deception upon deception.
Tim goes on to talk about bullies and how eventually people will stand up to the bully and run him out of town and a bunch of other crap that no real bodybuilder would want to read.
At Ironmag we have a policy of keeping our noses out of the supplement industry. This happened after one of our former writers wrote a very popular, yet revealing piece on supplement scammers, and in turn received several threatening emails from Biotest. Our former writer has a tremendous amount of respect for Testosterone and Biotest and implored the editorial staff to edit the article and repost it. We did, but only on his advice. Yes, it was a great article. Since then we usually maintain our distance, because really, we have no money tied up in supplements and we could care less who does what.
There is a time though to say enough is enough.
It's time for bodybuilders on the Internet to stand up to Biotest and Testosterone Magazine and say grow the f**k up! Stop the bickering, stop the lies and quit acting like a spoiled brat who just got a pellet gun for Christmas.
When you think about it guys, Biotest is a small fry in the supplement industry. Yes, they like to make you think they've got the biggest balls, but really, they're a bunch of scared middle-aged men whose glory days are behind them and are just looking to make a buck for retirement. Biotest behave like that little kid on the playground with the big mouth who could run really fast.
Do yourself and your fellow bodybuilders a favor and email them:
Ask them to print concrete proof that they do indeed have the world's only stabilized liquid creatine. (Don't a bunch of other companies lay claim to that too?)
Ask them what the patent number is for this discovery: "we patented a (prohormone) delivery system that increased absorption from 5% to 90%, we still chose not to do it. We just don't think that the prohormone technology is where it needs to be right now."
Ask them for the published studies that back-up the various extraordinary claims of the various supplements when used by T-Mag staffers.
Ask them where the real pictures of Tim, TC and the rest of the cartoonish T-Mag staff are.
Ask them why they own the domain http://www.charlespoliquin.com, when they treat Charles like a bastard son who stood up to his dad. Chances are they don't want you to know that Charles is coming out with his own supplement line. Charles made Biotest, and whatever success they are enjoying now, is mostly because of his name and image, and yet, he was quickly dismissed as secondary when it didn't suit the corporate agenda. Now Ian King is better. What will happen if Ian gets some balls? Will Tony Little suddenly be the best?
Ask them why they post fake letters or letters written by people with affiliations to them, slandering other companies and people?
Here's a project for all you "Iron Men". While you've got your browser open, do the whole Internet bodybuilding community a favor and go here: https://rn.ftc.gov/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01. Fill out the form. It's doubtful that you need to be told what information is needed to fill in the blanks. Yes, that's a hint.
Send Tim Patterson and Biotest a message that the Internet bodybuilding community will not stand for their behavior. Tell them that Testosterone was a much better magazine, well before the silly "T-Men" moniker was coined, and losers with "T-Rone" license plates (note: if anyone gets an Iron Mag license plate, we'll shoot ourselves!). But most of all, tell them to stop acting like the people they hate. Tell them that bodybuilding is a sport, not an industry full of spiteful people stabbing each other in the back because someone is doing better than somebody else. Bodybuilding sucks because people like you, Tim, make it suck.
We're not writing this for money. We're not writing this because our supplement company is telling us to. Hey, we don't even have one. How refreshing isn't that? We're writing this because we've seen a great magazine turn into a pile of trash fitting for an afternoon soap opera instead of a hardcore training journal. There's more mudslinging on T-Mag than when Green Day performed at Woodstock!
Grow up Biotest!

Well ... I can not account for all the crap companies do and I have had no chemical analysis done of their products. I do use BioTest products, specifically: Tribex-500, MD6, ZMA, M (Anti-Estrogen), Androsol and Methoxy-7. I didn't just "choose" this company, but listened to a trusted friend at a local vitamin shop. He does not sell their products, but says they did have the only products he thought were worthy of selling.
When I used their products, I had just started lifting back in November. I was 312 lbs with 32.6% body fat when I started and got on the cycles ... did cardio three times a week, lifted three days a week.
When I called BioTest, pre-purchase, they told me do not bother buying their products if my diet was not in order and helped me work that out ... they even suggested Body For Life.
It is now February, I am down to 254 lbs at 20.4% body fat. My bench went from 120lbs to 255lbs. Now, I know a lot of that was because I was just starting and getting acclimated, in addition to the cardio, but I really believe their products work at this point.
I have lots more to go through and some of it seems like trial and error, but I'll swear by them at this point. I can definitely tell what it is like when I cycle off Androsol!!!

Biotest make Great Products. Their GROW MRP is certainly the best Milk Protein Isolate available on planet right now!
Hot-Rox is way too expensive, so is their Mag-10. Powerdrive is Crap, IMO.
Regarding Advertising, I dont care. Whatever works for me, I buy it regardsless of Ads.
The best ones I like is GROW MRP & M.
