Hey Guys,
I found this site on google couple of weeks ago and after all this time of lurking I signd up in hope to get some help and somehow "wise up" about
everything I do for my body. Here is My info.
Name: Alex
Age: 31
Height:185 cm/6'1"
Weight:125kg(don't know lbs--probably around 300)
Bad Habits:smoking...
My goal: 90 - 100kg & hoping to stop smoking
Well as you can see I am "fatass" and this would be my chance to also
officially admit it and do something about it.Well I already kind of do,but
I definitely need some sounding advice and support.I hope I can find it
here.(Thanks in advance guys).Anyways,I do go to gym 4-5 times a week.
I do weight training for about 45min-1hour and then bike or threadmill for
another 35 - 40 min. I 've been doing this for about 3 weeks now+ drinking
a lot of water(3-5L/day).I don't really enjoy junk food therefore I don't eat it. I must be doing something wrong.I actually feel that i gained weight.I mean my pants don't fit as that did couple of weeks ago.
I try to eat three meals a day+supplement with the protein powder and as I said befor drink plenty of water.
Well, I don't know what else I should write. Thanks for any inputs
as I hope that they will help me.

Thank You guys.

welcome sashik

some suggestions to help you in your goals:

1) start a journal here ... journals are GREAT for helping you to meet your goals. post your training, diet, etc. there and you can get feedback from members and mods and stuff... not all of our advice is perfect but you can usually get a good cross section of ideas and choose what's best for you

2) Don't HOPE to quit smoking. Just quit. use the patch, go cold turkey, do whatever you gotta do. Myself, I used to smoke a pack a day easily. Especially if you're training with cardio to lose weight, smoking will only hurt you.

3) Drinking lots of water is great.

4) Dont' worry about gaining weight at first... if your lifting weights for the first time, you may notice that you gain weight but if your diet is clean then this weight is most likely MUSCLE.

5) If you can eat more than 3 meals + supp a day, go for it. Especially if you're in a calorie deficit (eating to lose weight), eating more frequently can help you avoid hunger feelings. Figure out your BMR and maintenance calories (at 125kg, this is probably somewhere over 3000 calories) and then reduce slightly until you start seeing results. Getting control over your diet using discipline, www.fitday.com and other resources is key to your weight loss.

Mostly good advice. I quit cold turkey 26 months ago and never looked back, so I reccomend the same. But, back when I did smoke, I didn't know any non-smokers who could outrun me. Smoking won't necessarily hurt your ability to do cardio excercises.

Either way, welcome!
