heya peep's, my name's Jamie and i'm from England. I'm 18 and have little experience with this kinda thing, i own weights and go to the gym but see no results, which as you can imagine give's little motivation, hence my reason for joining. I need advice from people who know their stuff! I spend a lot of time playing bass in 3 different band's and lookin after Boxer dog's (truly the greatest breed, no doubt lol). I really wanna bulk up and stand out from the crowd, not to competition level, but for enhanced strength, stamina and appearance (but don't we all?!?). I wanna burn my fat (especially on my back, arse and chest, but again, wouldn't we all lol) while seriously building up. My friend's are all scrawny and laizy so no help there! Anyway just a big hi to evryone. Oh, and anyone into heavy assed music?

Peace

J

Heavy Assed Music-Pantera-Hatebreed-Converge-Bleeding Through-Old scholl Machine Head-Lamb Of God-Killswitch Engage-Biohazard(Evan Seinfeld is my Idol)-Eighteen Visions-Superkoint Rirual-Downset-Murder One-Strapping Young Lad-Soilwork-Chimaira-In Flames-Raging Speedhorn-Poison The Well-Dry Kill Logic-Gilla Bruja-Otep.

My hard/metalcore band (i2B or Itching II Bleed) does a cover of Refused's The New Noise and ****ing Hostile by Pantera, my industrial/metal band ( Controlled Disorder Of Chaos)does a beefed up cover of For Whom The Bell Toll's by Metallica, Thieves by Ministry and Cemetary Gate's or Cowboy's From Hell by Pantera and i have an old skool punk band that does a cover of My War by Black Flag(Henry Rollins...the original punk ironman lol) and Coma America by Amen. Good to talk 2 u all anyway, how long u all been buildin'?

Pantera has some decent stuff, Refused is good (their Misfits cover of Bullet is ace), and old Metallica is decent too. I never heard the other stuff you listed, sounds like cheesy 80's hair band stuff, though. Hehehe, jk. Got any mp3s of your covers?

I've been back in the gym for 1 year and 3 months. :D

Nah, definetly not hair metal, metalcore and hardcore mostly , try out Superjoint Ritual if u like Pantera, it's their lead singer Phil Anselmo's new band, Hatebreed is good to lift to, real agressive but keeps a good beat, same with Killswitch Engage who are very rythm driven. As for the mp3's, not yet but i'll post a link when we get some up, goin' in for some studio time soon. Anyone know some good hardcore band's? Alway's on the lookout for new stuff. Downset are nice and angry, LA Rap/Metal, real rap/metal tho, not like Limp Bizkit or Papa Roach or any of that ****. Anyone know some real effective shoulder buildin' workout's, i suffer from wot i call S.S.S (****ty shoulder syndrome) and theyre all round and crappy, I WANT square shoulders DAMMIT! ThX dudes!

System of a Down, Six Feet Under, Unleashed, Slipknot, Meshuggah, Morbid Angel, Mudvayne, Primer55, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, Sepultura, SLAYER??, Tool, etc, etc, etc.

I prefer standing military press for shoulders ... post the question in the BB/Fitness forum and you'll get a lot more responses, though. :)

Welcome to the site.

Take a look around the site and post some questions in the other forums and you'll be on your way to getting your goals met. If you're just starting out, you'll see those shoulders grow along with the rest of you as you settle in on a routine and get your nutrition in order.

Good luck. :)
